Central Truckee
In the heart of Truckee there are charming old-fashioned neighborhoods with a variety of homes. Many of the properties are designated as historic and are within walking distance to excellent dining and shopping which includes Historic Downtown Truckee - with easy access to public transportation through town and to Lake Tahoe’s north shore. Close to the Truckee River and plenty of outdoor recreation. In summer there are free concerts at Regional Park and a farmer’s market.

Prosser Lakeview Estates/Prosser Heights
A residential mix, but primarily full-time residents. This area is just north of Truckee. It has a feeling all its own with the endless miles of open forest surrounding you. You can find a great trail for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and exploring. This is the perfect area to work in your yard, or sit on your deck and enjoy the quiet. You can also find acreage zoned for horses. All of it is located just a few minutes away from Truckee, Alder Creek Middle School and Interstate 80. There are no amenities or homeowner dues.

Glenshire/Devonshire
Here you will find a concentration of year round families. Glenshire is located six miles east of Truckee with easy access to Interstate 80 and 30 minutes to Reno airport. It is an established community complete with a clubhouse, pool, tennis courts and one of the most requested elementary schools. This is a wonderful place for kids to be kids with endless trails and open spaces to explore. The Truckee River is close by for those who love to fish, and there is access to the very scenic paved Legacy Trail bike path that goes from Glenshire to Truckee along the Truckee River. Another benefit, this area receives lighter snow accumulation than most of Truckee. Boca and Stampede Reservoirs are minutes away for boating and camping. Cambridge Estates
Providing a good blend of privacy and community, Cambridge Estates rests among gentle hills and mature trees. Located about six miles east of Truckee, next to the Glenshire/Devonshire community. Nearby you will find Glenshire Elementary School and access to Interstate 80 and Reno. This is the perfect area for hiking, jogging, and mountain biking.

Sierra Meadows/Ponderosa Ranchos/ Ponderosa Palisades
Located off of Highway 267 these communities offer convenient access to downtown Truckee, with excellent year-round outdoor recreational opportunities on your doorstep. These neighborhoods are adjacent, located only a few minutes from the center of downtown Truckee, the Truckee Regional Park, the Legacy Trail and charming Commercial Row, with terrific shopping, dining, and entertainment.

Sierra Meadows, Ponderosa Palisades and the Ponderosa Golf Course are located close to 4 major north Tahoe ski areas: Northstar, Alpine Meadows, Squaw Valley, and Sugar Bowl. Surrounded by National Forest lands, there are trailheads for hiking, cross country skiing, and amazing mountain biking right outside your door.

The two communities of Martiswoods Estates and Ponderosa Ranchos offers large parcels with custom homes. There are no amenities or homeowner dues. Sierra Meadows offers recreational activities with a pool, tennis court and homeowners association.
